The International Centre for Italian Studies at the University of Genoa is organising Italian language and culture courses for students from all over the world in 2026, taught by university professors and other highly qualified teachers.
The courses will take place in Santa Margherita Ligure, in the prestigious Villa Durazzo, during the following periods:
- from 29 June to 17 July 2026
- from 6 July to 17 July 2026
- from 25 August to 26 September 2026
Italian language courses will be organised on the basis of the language skills of the participants, as assessed by an initial test. The courses include Italian language lessons in the morning, from Monday to Friday, and Italian culture lessons in the afternoon. Cultural visits to the local area are planned, in which all course participants will take part together, accompanied by the course teachers. Attendance is compulsory for 85% of the lessons.
The registration fees are as follows:
- course from 29 June to 17 July: €540
- course from 6 July to 17 July: €360
- course from 25 August to 25 September: €800
The enrolment fee includes Italian language and culture lessons, seminars, teaching materials and lunch on lesson days.
The deposit to confirm enrolment is €50 for all courses.
Contributions equal to the enrolment fee (excluding the deposit) are available for students of documented Ligurian origin and students of any origin, thanks to the collaboration of the Liguria Region, the University of Genoa and private institutions.
Scholarships are also available for French students of Italian origin for the June-July courses, thanks to the collaboration of the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures of the University of Genoa and the Fondazione Sorelle Milanese in Savona.
