Summer Courses 2026

The International Center for Italian Studies of the University of Genoa organizes Italian language and culture courses for summer 2026, aimed at students from all over the world, taught by university professors and highly qualified teachers.

The courses will take place in Santa Margherita Ligure, at the prestigious Villa Durazzo and will be available during the periods below:

  •  From June 29 to July 17, 2026
  • From July 6 to July 17, 2026
  • From August 25 to September 26, 2026

Italian language courses will be organized according to participants’ proficiency levels, which will be assessed through an initial placement test.

The program includes Italian language classes in the morning, from Monday to Friday, and Italian culture classes in the afternoon. Cultural visits in the surrounding areas are also planned; in which all students will take part together, always accompanied by their course teacher.

Attendance is mandatory for the 85% of lessons.

 

The enrolment/enrollment fees are as follows:

  •  Course from June 29 to July 17: €540
  • Course from July 6 to July 17: €360
  • Course from August 25 to September 25: €800

 

This fee includes italian language and culture classes, seminars, teaching materials and lunch on class days.

A €50 deposit is required in order to confirm the enrolment/enrollment for all courses.

There is financial support equal to the enrolment/enrollment fee (deposit excluded) designed for students who have documented ligurian origin, as well as for every student of any background, thanks to the cooperation with the Liguria Region, University of Genoa and private bodies.

For June and July courses, there are also available scholarships for French students of Italian origin, thanks to the cooperation with the University of Genoa’s Modern Languages and Cultures Department and the Sorelle Milanese Foundation based in Savona.

To enroll in a course, you must complete and sign the 2026 enrolment/enrollment form, pay a deposit of €50, and send all the required documentation to centrint@unige.it

The minimum number of students required to organize the Italian courses is ten (10).
