The International Center for Italian Studies at the University of Genoa is once again organizing summer courses in Italian language and culture for non-native speakers in 2025 at the historic Villa Durazzo in Santa Margherita Ligure.

Classes will take place from Wednesday, August 20 to Friday, September 26, 2025.

COURSES
Courses will be offered at various levels based on the participants’ language skills, which will be assessed through an initial placement test. Italian language classes will be held in the morning, and Italian culture classes in the afternoon. Attendance is mandatory for at least 85% of the classes.

Cultural visits in the local area are also planned, in which all participants will participate together, accompanied by course instructors. Cultural visits also count toward the attendance requirement.

COST
The enrollment fee is €790.00 and includes:

• Six weeks of Italian language and culture classes

• Course materials

• Lunch on class days (Monday through Friday) at a partnered facility

• Guidance during guided tours and excursions

• A certificate of completion at the end of the course

Courses will only be held if a minimum number of participants is reached.

ELIGIBILITY
All foreign citizens over the age of 18 are eligible to participate in the summer courses.

SCHOLARSHIPS
In partnership with public and private organizations, CISI offers scholarships to attend the summer courses in Italian language and culture.

HOW TO ENROLL

To enroll for the summer courses, you must complete the “2025 Enrollment Form,” which can be downloaded from this website, and email all required documents to <centrint@unige.it>, along with the receipt for the payment of the €190.00 non-refundable deposit.
