SCOLARSHIPS 2025
As usual, scholarships will also be awarded for 2025 based on specific eligibility requirements and a ranking determined by the Commission appointed by the CISI Advisory Board.
Scholarships funded by the Liguria Region are worth €1,000.00 each and are reserved for applicants with documented Ligurian origin between the ages of 18 and 35*. It is not possible to benefit twice from scholarships provided by the Liguria Region.
Additional scholarships funded by the University of Genoa (UniGe) or other organizations, worth €800.00 each, are available to applicants with any non-Italian origins.
SELECTION CRITERIA
If the number of scholarship applications exceeds the available scholarships, selection will be based on the date the complete application (including payment of the deposit) is received. In the case of a tie (applications received on the same date), the following criteria will be used to determine ranking:
- Never having received a scholarship before
- Previous study of the Italian language in the applicant’s home country
- Younger age
In the case of applications from members of the same family, CISI reserves the right to award the scholarship to the youngest applicant.
Once the applicant's country of origin has been verified, CISI will, as long as possible, ensure that at least one scholarship is awarded for each represented nationality.
HOW TO APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP
Those who wish to apply for a scholarship must fill out the 2025 Enrollment Form, pay the €190.00 non-refundable deposit, and email all required documents to <centrint@unige.it>, following the instructions on the “Enrollment” and “2025 Enrollment Form” pages of this website.
The €190.00 deposit will be considered a down payment. The enrollment must be finalized with the payment of the remaining €600.00.
CISI will timely notify all applicants who have submitted a scholarship request and paid the deposit about the outcome of the selection.
Those who are awarded the scholarship must attend at least 85% of the classes; otherwise, the scholarship will not be awarded at the end of the course.
